My name is Maureen Ryan and I’m a Pilates & Movement Educator located in Chicago. My goal is to help you connect to your core to build a strong foundation for a healthy lifestyle.
With my approach, it’s not about chasing after conceived ideas of what you “should” be doing or look like. It’s about taking a proactive and positive approach that feels empowering, fun and realistic for your life!
I’m here to serve as your guide and help you identify and overcome the physical, emotional and mental obstacles that sabotage your goals! It’s about finding center and working from the inside – out.
As a former Junior High Physical Education/Health teacher with a Masters in Counseling, I know the value of taking a fun, playful approach that’s grounded in techniques that work! So while I’ll be honest and speak from my heart, this process will not be about sacrifice and deprivation. It will be about discovery, clarity and adding more enjoyment into our lives.

On a Personal Note…
I love to be active and spend time outdoors. Pilates is probably the only form of exercise that will bring me indoors on a nice day! My favorite activities besides Pilates is biking, running and my new favorite activity is Paddle Boarding! I can’t wait to head out there again this year!
I love to read and find myself drawn to non-fiction books. I plan to share some of my favorites on this site!
I cherish shared experiences with the people I love. I’ll be sharing more about how I create shared experiences and sprinkle play into my life in a monthly blog post.
I ran competitively in high school and college. Even ran a few marathons post college, but now I prefer to run for fun. Really! Running can be fun and I know for me, it allows me to step out of my brain and to really connect with my body. Plus, I’ve met some of my best friends while out running.
I love to bike around the city of Chicago. If you see me cruising around on my Van Moof say “hi”!
